Resumen: | Se obtuvo biodiesel a partir de la transesterificación del aceite de palma usado en fritura a escala de laboratorio y se realizó un estudio de mercado en restaurantes y empresas de snacks en Bogotá, D.C., con el fin de determinar la cantidad de materia prima. Inicialmente se caracterizó el aceite de palma y luego se partió de 5.09 g, se realizó la transesterificación a 70o C y un tiempo de reacción de tres horas. La eficiencia del proceso fue de 77.80%. Posteriormente, se analizó el biodiesel por medio de la densidad cuyo valor fue de: 836.6 kg/m3, índice de acidez 0.53 mg KOH/ g muestra e índice de yodo 128.82 g I2/100 g grasa. De acuerdo con el estudio de mercado realizado, se tendría un total de aceites comestibles usados en Bogotá de aproximadamente 10621,47 toneladas/semana. Grupo de investigación en Biotecnología. Abstract: | The biodiesel was obtained from the transesterification of the palm oil used in fritter, in laboratory scale and realized a market research, in restaurants and companies of snacks in Bogotá, D.C., in order to determine the quantity of raw material. Initially the palm oil was characterized, and then it begin with 5.09 g, it was realized transesterification to 70oC and the time of reaction was 3 hours. the efficiency of the process was 77.80 %. Later the biodiesel was analyzed by means of the density 836.6 Kg/m3, acidity index 0.53 mg KOH/g and iodine index 128.82 g I2/100g fat. In agreement to the market research, it would be have approximately 10621,47 tons/ week of eatable oils used in Bogotá. |
