Resumen:	Este documento tiene como objetivo establecer las reglas que se aplican a los biocombustibles en el comercio entre Mercosur y la Unión Europea, esto debido a que este producto al considerarse como un nuevo combustible, no cuenta con una normatividad totalmente establecida, lo que crea una brecha en términos de reglas de comercio, y esta ha sido una de las mayores dificultades dentro de la industria; cada uno de estos grupos tiene alto potencial como productor y como importador de biocombustibles, por lo tanto se hace necesario identificar cual es el estado actual de la normatividad y qué medidas está tomando cada uno para el control de este producto. Para esto se realizó una recopilación de documentos y su posterior análisis, mediante el cual se evidenció la relación que existe entre las reglas de cada uno de estos grupos y las acciones que cada uno lleva a cabo para mejorar esta industria y promover su mercado.
Abstract:	This document has as aim establish the rules that are applied to the biofuels in the trade between Mercosur and the European Union, this because this product is considered to be a new fuel doesn´t possess a totally established regulations, which should create a gap in terms of regulation trade, and this one has been one of the major difficulties inside the industry; each one of these groups has potential as producing high place and as importing of biofuels, therefore it becomes necessary to identify which is the current condition of the regulation and that measure is taking each one for the control of this product. For this there was realized a summary of documents and his later analysis, with this demonstrate the relation that exists between the rules of each one of these groups and the actions that each one carries out to improve this industry and to promote his market.
