Resumen:	Este trabajo está construido con el fin de proponer estrategias de diseño sostenibles y estrategias ambientales que puedan ayudar en la adaptación de un elemento arquitectónico sobre zonas de alto riesgo de vulnerabilidad natural, con el fin de mitigar los daños y consecuencias con que estos actúan hacia las viviendas, mejorando así las condiciones habitacionales y permitir un progreso en la población, satisfaciendo las condiciones básicas humanas que son necesarias y en muchos casos precarias para la gran mayoría de los habitantes de la región. A partir del análisis de diversos casos de estudio, se evalúan las prácticas de planificación más o menos acertadas que han sido aplicadas últimamente y en contextos distintos, intentando comprender cual es la aportación que la arquitectura proporciona antes estas situaciones y dando así unos parámetros de calidad desde la planeación, el diseño y la ejecución que brinden al usuario tranquilidad antes, durante y después de un desastre natural. aprovechando la capacidad estratégica que otorga San Andrés, siendo esta una de las islas más grandes e importantes del país, pero es una de las más afectadas ante diferentes fenómenos debido a su localización.
Abstract:	This work is built in order to propose sustainable design strategies and environmental strategies that can help in the adaptation of an architectural element on areas of high risk of natural vulnerability, in order to mitigate the damages and consequences with which they act towards the housing, thus improving housing conditions and allowing progress in the population, satisfying the basic human conditions that are necessary and in many cases precarious for the vast majority of the inhabitants of the region. Based on the analysis of various case studies, the more or less successful planning practices that have been applied recently and in different contexts are evaluated, trying to understand the contribution that architecture provides before these situations and thus giving quality parameters. from planning, design and execution that provide the user peace of mind before, during and after a natural disaster. taking advantage of the strategic capacity that San Andrés grants, being this one of the largest and most important islands in the country, but it is one of the most affected by different phenomena due to its location.
