Resumen: | Este proyecto de investigación se centra en la extracción de sustancias de las semillas de aguacate Hass (Persea Americana). En la elección de las semillas se tuvo en cuenta la madurez del fruto y se buscó determinar la presencia de polifenoles. La fruta, ampliamente cultivada en Colombia, ofrece una importante oportunidad de valoración porque sus residuos de semillas representan entre el 15 y el 18 por ciento de la fruta. Para realizar este estudio se propuso un diseño metodológico experimental aplicando un método de extracción y un solvente apropiado junto con pruebas de laboratorio. Se eligió como método la extracción en frío, donde se utilizó agua destilada y etanol al 90% como disolventes. El extracto resultante fue positivo para la concentración final después de pasar por el rotavapor. |
Abstract: | This research project focuses on the extraction of substances from Hass avocado seeds (Persea Americana). When choosing the seeds, the maturity of the fruit was taken into account and the presence of polyphenols was sought to be determined. The fruit, widely grown in Colombia, offers an important valuation opportunity because its seed residues represent between 15 and 18 percent of the fruit. To carry out this study, an experimental methodological design was proposed, applying an extraction method and an appropriate solvent together with laboratory tests. Cold extraction was chosen as the method, where distilled water and 90% ethanol were used as solvents. The resulting extract was positive for the final concentration after passing through the rotary evaporator. |
