Resumen:	El presente Trabajo de Grado tiene como finalidad analizar el impacto que tendría el mercado de derivados forward para maquinaria pesada importada para el sector petrolero (2007-2017), en donde se hace una revisión de la teoría moderna de portafolio que a su vez es la base para este tipo de mercado de derivados e instrumentos de cobertura en relación a activos subyacentes como la maquinaria pesada importada. Acto seguido, Se Identifica la maquinaria pesada importada juntos a sus características, luego se identifica variables y normatividad del mercado de derivado forward con la maquinaria pesada importada en el sector petrolero, las cuales son la diversificación, riesgo sistemático y no sistemático, variables de mercado, relación riesgo-rendimiento.
Abstract:	The present degree project explains the methodology and results to analyze the impact that the Forward Derivatives Market for heavy machinery imported for the oil sector (2007-2017), where a review of the modern portfolio theory is made, which is the basis for this type of derivatives market and hedging instruments in relation to underlying assets such as imported heavy machinery. Then, the heavy machinery imported together with its characteristics is identified, then variables and regulations of the forward derivative market are identified with the heavy machinery imported into the oil sector, which are diversification, systematic and non-systematic risk, market variables, risk-return ratio.
